This guide covers the Republic and Northern Ireland together because most travellers cross the invisible border at least once. My five anchors are Dublin, the 214 m Cliffs of Moher, Galway with the Aran Islands, the 179 km Ring of Kerry and the 2,500 km Wild Atlantic Way. Beyond those I add the Giant's Causeway (UNESCO 1986), the Titanic story in Belfast, Newgrange (UNESCO 1993, 3,200 BCE), Cork and Blarney Castle, the Dingle Peninsula and Skellig Michael (UNESCO 1996). Indian passport holders need two visas: an Irish short-stay visa for the Republic, and a UK ETA for Northern Ireland since January 2025.
