Trying to combine, say, Delhi with Kerala in under a week is how people end up spending three of those six days inside airports, taxis and hotel lobbies instead of actually seeing anything. After planning more than ten of these short trips for friends, family and a few couples I met through the blog, the rule I keep coming back to is simple: pick one regional cluster and stay inside it.
