Best Bali Honeymoon Package Companies for Couples
When my cousin got married last December, his wife came to me a week before the wedding asking which honeymoon package to book for Bali. We sat for two hours, called two operators directly, and ended up booking a slightly different itinerary. They came back happy but told me they would've saved roughly INR 38,000 had they booked hotels and flights themselves.
I've used Bali packages twice (Cox & Kings 2019, TravelTriangle 2023) and booked Bali twice independently, most recently a ten-day trip with my wife in 2024. So this comparison comes from someone who has done it both ways and paid the bills both ways.
Who Should Buy a Bali Honeymoon Package
Packages work for first-time international travelers, couples who got married last month with no time to plan, anyone uncomfortable with foreign currency or non-English-speaking taxi drivers, and trips of seven nights or shorter where the savings from independent booking are smaller. If your wedding ended last week and you fly out in twelve days, a package is the right call. If both of you've travelled abroad twice already and the trip is two weeks long, you save real money booking yourselves.
For when Bali makes sense weather-wise, my Bali weather and travel guide goes into the wet season, dry season, and the in-between months.
How I Compared the Ten Operators
I called or emailed all ten operators between January and March 2026 with the same brief: 6N/7D Bali honeymoon for two from Mumbai, Kuta-Seminyak or Kuta-Ubud-Nusa Dua split. I asked each for the lowest published rate and a mid-tier rate, then cross-checked the same dates on Booking.com, IndiGo direct, and independent villa sites.
The numbers below are March 2026. They move with the rupee and operator discounts. Treat as a working range, not fixed.
Operator-by-Operator Breakdown
1. MakeMyTrip Holidays
MakeMyTrip Holidays sits at the value end. Plus for a 6N/7D Bali honeymoon, range was INR 80,000 to INR 2,80,000 per couple. Lower tier: Kuta 3-star, IndiGo flights via Kuala Lumpur, half-day Tanah Lot tour. Mid-tier moves you to a 4-star Seminyak with a candle-lit dinner and 60-minute couples spa.
What works: every voucher, transfer driver number, and check-in time sits in one app. And what doesn't: inclusions hide flight class and meal plan in fine print. Always ask whether breakfast is buffet or American plan and whether the IndiGo ticket is checked-in or hand-baggage only.
2. Yatra Holidays
Yatra came in slightly cheaper at INR 70,000 to INR 2,50,000 per couple. They lean on IndiGo flight inclusions, useful if you want a direct or one-stop from a metro. Basic 6N/7D: Kuta 3-star, four breakfasts, two dinners, transfers, half-day Uluwatu tour with Kecak fire dance, flower-petal bath on arrival.
The Yatra customer service number actually answers in under ten minutes, which matters when you land at midnight and the driver isn't at the gate.
3. Thomas Cook
Thomas Cook is premium. 6N/7D range: INR 1,40,000 to INR 4,50,000 per couple. Lower end is already a 4-star Seminyak; upper end is a private pool villa in Ubud with a butler. Higher-tier inclusions: private Tanah Lot sunset photoshoot, 90-minute couples Balinese spa, beach candle-lit dinner, two-day scooter rental, and a personal honeymoon coordinator.
Recommended if you got married three days ago and want zero decisions to make. Rarely the cheapest on like-for-like nights, you pay for the brand and the hand-holding.
4. Cox & Kings
Cox & Kings has a Bali specialty desk running for years. But range: INR 1,80,000 to INR 5,50,000 per couple for 6N/7D. Their stronger product is the Kuta-Ubud-Nusa Dua split, two nights in each. Inclusions: private car for transfers, half-day Ubud rice terrace tour, flower-petal bath, 60-minute couples spa, candle-lit beachfront dinner.
On my 2019 family trip the on-ground supplier was the same firm handling two other Indian operators. Car was clean, driver spoke working English. But the Ubud night was fine but not special, verify before paying.
5. Veena World
Veena World runs group departures and customised honeymoon trips. Private 6N/7D range: INR 1,60,000 to INR 4,80,000. Mid-tier: 4-star Seminyak, 4-star Ubud, four breakfasts, three dinners, couples spa, candle-lit dinner, two-day scooter, half-day Tanah Lot tour. Higher tiers bundle visa-on-arrival assistance and travel insurance.
Marathi-speaking customer service matters more than it sounds when parents from Maharashtra want to ring the operator themselves.
6. TravelTriangle
TravelTriangle doesn't run trips. Plus it's a marketplace where three to five DMC operators send quotes for the same itinerary. For 6N/7D Bali, quotes ranged from INR 95,000 to INR 3,20,000 per couple, depending on the operator behind the quote.
Strength: three live quotes let you see who is bullshitting on inclusions. And weakness: the operator who services your trip is one you've never heard of, and your in-trip contact is a WhatsApp number, not an Indian call centre. I covered this in detail in my TravelTriangle Switzerland honeymoon piece; most points apply to Bali too.
7. Kesari Tours
Kesari runs group departures and private honeymoon trips. Range: INR 1,40,000 to INR 3,80,000 per couple for 6N/7D. Their group honeymoon departures (eight to twelve couples with a tour manager) are unusual but real; some couples like the social aspect by day five. Private package: 4-star Kuta or Seminyak, half-day Tanah Lot or Uluwatu tour, candle-lit dinner, couples spa, one-day bicycle rental.
Strength: brochure matches reality. Weakness: cheapest tier puts you in the smallest room and upgrade quotes are steep.
8. Flight Centre
Flight Centre is an Australian-origin operator doing India outbound now. Range: INR 1,30,000 to INR 3,50,000 per couple for 6N/7D. They will price out a fully customised itinerary including non-standard hotels. I had them quote a Munduk waterfall and Sidemen rice fields combo and they came back with real prices, where most operators tried to push me back into Kuta-Ubud-Nusa Dua.
Worth a quote if you already know which hotel you want.
9. MagicHolidays Mahindra
MagicHolidays is the holiday arm of the Mahindra group. Range: INR 1,50,000 to INR 4,00,000 per couple for 6N/7D. Inclusions: 4-star Kuta or Nusa Dua, four breakfasts, two dinners, couples spa, candle-lit dinner, half-day Uluwatu with Kecak show, airport transfers.
If you're already a Mahindra Holidays member or have club points, the effective price drops. Not relevant to first-time buyers, but worth checking if you inherited a membership from a parent.
10. SOTC
SOTC is owned by Thomas Cook but runs as a separate brand and is priced slightly below. Range: INR 1,30,000 to INR 4,20,000 per couple for 6N/7D. Product is similar to Thomas Cook with a less premium entry-tier hotel list. But their Bali group tour for honeymoon couples gets mixed feedback because of fixed departure dates that may not line up with your wedding.
Comparison Table
| Operator | Couple INR Range (6N/7D) | Key Inclusions | Pros | Cons |

| Veena World | 1,60,000 to 4,80,000 | Seminyak + Ubud, scooter, visa assistance | Insurance bundled, Marathi support | No ultra-luxury tier |
| TravelTriangle | 95,000 to 3,20,000 | Multi-DMC quotes, varies by supplier | Live quote comparison | On-trip support is WhatsApp |
| Kesari Tours | 1,40,000 to 3,80,000 | Group or private, candle-lit dinner, spa | Brochure matches reality, group option | Smallest room tier at entry price |
| Flight Centre | 1,30,000 to 3,50,000 | Custom hotel choice, off-list properties | Will quote non-standard itineraries | Smaller India footprint |
| MagicHolidays Mahindra | 1,50,000 to 4,00,000 | Nusa Dua 4-star, Uluwatu Kecak show | Member discounts if applicable | Marginal value if not a club member |
| SOTC | 1,30,000 to 4,20,000 | Similar to Thomas Cook entry tier | Cheaper than parent Thomas Cook | Group departures rigid on dates |
What a Real Bali Honeymoon Package Includes
Core inclusions are consistent across operators. Six nights split between Kuta or Seminyak (south, beach, nightlife), Ubud (central, rice terraces, yoga, quiet), and Nusa Dua (south-east, resort enclave, calm beach). But the most common split is two nights each, though many operators do four nights south and two nights Ubud.
The romantic-room set-up is universal: bed with flower petals in a heart, candles around the bathtub, sometimes local sparkling wine, hand-written welcome card. Nice photo moment. Every hotel does this for honeymoon bookings, so an independently booked stay where you tell the front desk you're on honeymoon gets the same at no extra cost.
Candle-lit dinner: fixed three-course set menu, almost always at the resort beach. But food is fine, not memorable. Setting is good, especially Nusa Dua where resort beaches are quiet at sunset.
Couples spa session of 60 to 90 minutes, Balinese massage with frangipani oil. The package version is at the resort spa, more expensive than walking into a Seminyak street spa for the same massage at one-third the price. Treat the included session as your free version; book extras independently.
Flower-petal bath, half-day temple tour to Tanah Lot or Uluwatu, bicycle or scooter rental for one or two days, airport transfers in a private car. All standard.
The Honest Math: Package vs Self-Booked
For 6N/7D from Mumbai, my March 2026 self-booked numbers: IndiGo Mumbai-Denpasar round-trip via Kuala Lumpur, INR 14,000 per person at sixty days out (INR 28,000 couple). Six nights at a 4-star Seminyak on Booking.com, INR 6,500 per night with breakfast (INR 39,000). But visa-on-arrival USD 35 per person (INR 5,800 for two). Bali tourist tax IDR 150,000 per person (INR 800 for two). Local transport, scooter, two temple tours, two couples meals, one spa, food and drink for six days (INR 32,000). Total: roughly INR 1,05,600.
The mid-tier 4-star package on the same dates: MakeMyTrip INR 1,30,000, Yatra INR 1,25,000, Thomas Cook INR 1,90,000. And across operators, package costs run 15% to 25% above the self-booked equivalent for the same hotel category. On the high tier the gap shrinks because operators have negotiated luxury-chain rates you can't match on retail booking sites.
What the package buys: zero stress in the seven days after a wedding; currency handling on day one when the airport ATM is a bad rate; transfers included so the midnight arrival has a driver with a board; a 24/7 India support number when something goes wrong on day three.
What it costs: less itinerary flexibility (hotel, tour, dinner pre-booked); mandatory extras like the spa bundled in even if you would've skipped it; group dinners on cheaper tiers where you eat at a fixed time with eight other honeymoon couples on the same package.
On the upfront-vs-pay-later question, my piece on pay-upfront vs pay-after-holiday OTA bookings covers the cancellation and credit card hold mechanics.
Where Independent Booking Wins
Stays of ten nights or longer is where the package math breaks. Operators add roughly INR 6,000 to INR 9,000 of margin per night over self-booked rates, so a four-night extension costs INR 24,000 to INR 36,000 more than booking those nights yourself.
Picky hotel choices. If you want a specific Sidemen rice terrace villa or a Munduk treetop lodge, packages either refuse to book it or quote a 30% premium because it isn't on their preferred supplier list.
Multi-island trips. But bali plus Gili Trawangan plus Lombok isn't a standard package itinerary; every operator pushed me back to Bali-only. Ferry-hop on your own.
Tighter budgets. Plus if your full holiday budget is INR 1,00,000 for two, packages won't work, the entry rate is INR 70,000 just for the package with nothing left for shopping or extra meals. Self-booked, INR 1,00,000 covers a real Bali week with breathing room.

Beach Honeymoon Alternatives Worth Pricing
Before settling on Bali, run the same math on two domestic alternatives. Goa November to February runs roughly INR 60,000 for a 5-night couples honeymoon at a good resort, covered in best affordable resorts to stay at in Goa. Plus andaman or Lakshadweep in the same window costs similar money for better water. When Indian beaches peak is in best month for India beach honeymoon trips.
Thailand for two weeks costs roughly the same as Bali for one week if you go independent, with stronger food and shopping. The two-week structure is in best 2-week travel itinerary in Thailand.
Booking Tips That Actually Save Money
Book the package, then ask for an upgrade quote at the resort directly on arrival. Hotels offer honeymoon upgrades for INR 4,000 to INR 6,000 a night when inventory is soft, much cheaper than the operator upgrade quote.
Take the operator's flight inclusion only if it's direct or one-stop. If they route you via Kuala Lumpur and Singapore with a six-hour layover, ask to be priced on tickets only, then book IndiGo direct yourself.
Skip the included airport transfer on the return leg. Bali airport-to-Seminyak Grab is IDR 200,000 (INR 1,000) and you can leave the hotel when you want rather than at the package's pickup time.
Negotiate one inclusion swap. Most operators swap the candle-lit dinner for an extra spa session, or the flower-petal bath for a sunset cruise, if you ask before paying the deposit.
Book late November to mid-December for the best dry-season prices. High-rate windows are December 20 to January 5 and April through August.
What to Get in Writing Before You Pay
Hotel name, room category, and meal plan in writing on the invoice. Not just "4-star Seminyak property". Operators substitute hotels last-minute and you've no recourse if the brochure said "4-star Seminyak" and you ended up at a 3-star Kuta. So flight class and baggage allowance: IndiGo international flights have separate baggage rules. Cancellation policy with cut-off dates and refund percentages. Inclusions list with location and timing of each, "half-day temple tour" isn't enough. Emergency contact for the on-ground supplier in Indonesia, not just the India office number.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do Indian honeymooners need a marriage certificate to book a joint room in Bali?
No. Bali hotels don't ask for a marriage certificate at check-in. Package operators sometimes ask because they bundle a complimentary "honeymoon set-up" that requires proof, but the hotel itself doesn't. Couples who got engaged but not married, or who are doing a pre-wedding holiday, can book joint rooms without any document beyond passports.
What does the Indonesia visa-on-arrival cost for Indians?
USD 35 per person, payable in cash or card on arrival at Denpasar airport. As of 2026 the e-VOA online application also costs USD 35, so there's no saving from applying online beyond skipping the airport queue. Both are valid for 30 days and extendable once for another 30 days at an immigration office.
What is the Bali tourist tax and do packages cover it?
IDR 150,000 per foreign visitor, roughly INR 800 as of April 2026. Applies to anyone over five years old. So some packages include it, most don't. Pay it online before flying via the official Indonesia tourism portal or on arrival.
Are the operator reviews online actually trustworthy?
Mixed. So google Reviews skew either very positive (paid-for reviews) or very negative (one bad experience). The useful signal is the volume of detailed three-star and four-star reviews, written by real customers describing what worked. Discount any review under 50 words.
What is the cancellation policy if our wedding gets postponed?
Most operators charge 25% to 35% if you cancel 30 or more days before departure, 50% to 75% if 15 to 30 days, and 100% inside 14 days. Thomas Cook and Cox & Kings offer a one-time date change for INR 5,000 to INR 8,000 if rescheduled within six months. Get this in writing on the invoice; verbal assurance isn't enforceable.
Is travel insurance included in the package?
Veena World and Thomas Cook bundle basic travel insurance at mid-tier and above. The other operators charge it separately for INR 800 to INR 1,500 per person for a week. So buy it. Bali medical evacuation costs are real, INR 4,000 of insurance is worth the protection.
Can we extend the package by two or three days on the ground?
Most operators allow it for an extra-night charge of INR 5,500 to INR 9,000 per night for the room, plus a flight change fee. Total additional cost typically lands at INR 8,000 to INR 12,000 per night, more than booking the same hotel directly on Booking.com for that night.
What is the lowest realistic budget for a Bali honeymoon for two from India?
Self-booked, INR 95,000 for the couple covers 5N/6D in a clean 3-star Seminyak hotel, return IndiGo flights, food, scooter, two temple tours, and one couples spa. Through a package operator, the lowest realistic spend is closer to INR 1,20,000 for the same product. Below INR 95,000 self-booked, you're cutting nights, flight class, or hotel quality.
Final Take
If you got married last week and have ten days before your flight, take a Yatra or MakeMyTrip mid-tier package, pay the INR 1,25,000 to INR 1,40,000, and stop researching. The 15% to 25% premium is worth seven days of zero logistics in the most exhausted week of your life.
If you've three months between engagement and honeymoon and have travelled abroad before, book IndiGo directly, book a Seminyak hotel on Booking.com, and put the saved INR 25,000 to INR 35,000 toward an extra two nights or a meal at Ku De Ta. One weekend of planning and you get the trip you wanted, not the one the operator's supplier had inventory for.
If your trip is longer than ten nights or includes Lombok or the Gilis, don't buy a package. The economics break.
