The right answer depends on where you're going. India is the size of a continent, the road quality swings from German-grade expressway to single-lane goat-track inside the same 200 km, and some of the best honeymoon spots literally can't be reached by car. #3 Coorg and Chikmagalur coffee plantation drive

The honeymoon answer for couples who want hill-station quiet without the Himachal crowd. Bangalore to Madikeri (Coorg's main town) is 5-6 hours and 250 km, cab ₹4,500-7,500. Plus plus the drive itself is decent , NH275 is mostly four-lane until the ghat section.

Air wins: islands and restricted access

Real road condition and time honestly per route

An honest take

Don't drive 11+ hours on day 1 of your honeymoon. Fly into the destination region, then drive between in-region stops where the views actually matter . So munnar to Alleppey, Udaipur to Jodhpur, Madikeri to Tadiandamol. The "epic Indian road trip" romance dies somewhere around hour 6 of expressway, and arriving exhausted at your honeymoon hotel is a waste of every rupee you spent on the room.
